Kibibi which means that “little lady” in Swahili rests within the safety and luxury of her mother’s arms. Both are Western Lowland Gorillas. These primates are living in lowland tropical forests in Central Africa and are listed as critically endangered at the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. They’re characterized as quiet, peaceful, and non-aggressive animals, they usually never attack unless provoked. Kibibi is learning about her surroundings and likes to munch on leaves; she plays close to her mother and enjoys creating noise and rhythm.
