The MOVA Cassini Terrestrial Globe will operate virtually anywhere indoors in average room light, with no batteries, wires, or maintenance of any kind. Globe comes with an elegant three-finger stand, but will operate on any stand or surface (apart from for those made of iron or a metal alloy that may be magnetized. The elegant globe features a historical map made by cartographer Cassini de Thury in 1790 and depicts the three voyages of Captain James Cook, together with his routes, observations and theories. Cassini was once a great engraver and his knowledge was once very current at the time. His map here is among the first to depict the USA.
